Just realized I moved the wrong config file for the spellmod onto the server. Currently all spells are available, at least all whitelight gods get all whitelight spells. I will have to dig more to determine Libila spells is affected or not. With that being said, this was not intended. I had it configured on my test server with only deity spells available. But after discussing it with some of the community we are unsure to change it or keep it like it is. So going to ask the community. Vote please.
So with all spells the differences when picking a god comes down to the priests passives. That will be the only differences.
In Wurm everyone can do everything. Except for religion. If you make it so religions can do all the same things why not just make it a single player game so no one has a reason to need anyone else? Religion at least gives a reason to have to play together as an MMO instead of as a single player game. The biggest downside to Wurm is that there is no real reason for community. Too bad we can't force people to chose professions too. Don't make religion like the rest of the game so it becomes single player.
I agree with Redd. I mean, its fun to be able to use all the spells, but it takes away from the originality of a character. If everyone can do everything, what's the point in trying to build an economy or community? When people prioritize what they want to do in the beginning, they might seek others for spells (or other materials/gear/etc) but, with the option to utilize everything, that will come to an end at some point. Then, only new players are going to be looking for others' services. But, that's just my opinion...
